Hells Bells

I made this little thing for my mate Rich. He asked if there was much distortion on my album. There is some, but not the really ‘hearty’ type.  Anyhow I made this to compensate.  A Christmas gift for Richie.

Completion & Molly Macleod

Finally, the recording is done, finito. Over the next week or so I’ll Fred is going to mix the tracks and then they’ll be sent off for mastering. I can’t wait :o)

Also I went to my friend’s sister’s band’s gig the other night, at Night and Day; Molly Macleod. It was great, go check her out, she’s got a lovely voice and really nice folky songs.

Here’s a teaser. Spun Circles is going to be on the album, one of two instrumental tracks on the record.

For Triangles

Recording of my album - For Triangles - is nearly done! So it should be released by Creaked sometime the first half of 2009.

The recording has been quite a journey, taking me through 4 different houses, 5 guitars, 3 keyboards, 25 ups, 72 downs, 1052 words, 3 sound cards, 2 computers, 2 microphones, approximately 312 eggs and about 752 days off.

But I’m nearly there now and with it comes a certain apprehension. It is the knowing that I’ll have to free my songs and let them live their own existences. No longer can I be the over-protective father that I have been up until now.

I guess life really does move along so fast, here’s an old demo version of “Moving Life” which will be on the album.
